(i) CC: Cubic Capacity/ Cubic Centimeter
CC also stands for Cubic Capacity. It refers to the capacity and size of an engine. It defines the quantity of the cylinder of the vehicle between the Piston Top position (TDC) and Bottom position (BDC),the actual cylinder volume where the combustion takes place. So, if the CC of an engine is more, the fuel combustion and therefore the power of the engine are going to be more. The cubic capacity is sometimes measured in cc.
(ii) CC: Carbon Copy
CC is additionally used as an abbreviation of carbon. This term comes from carboning within which a carbon copy is made by placing a paper between two sheets and writing on the upper sheet. once you put your pen’s tip on the highest sheet and press it to write down something, it leaves a replica mark because it is on the second sheet. you’ll create more number of carbon copies by placing more carbon papers and paper sheets between the highest and bottom papers.
